Marijuana is an illicit drug in many countries, having a multitude of slang terms associated with the drug itself, its surrounding culture, and its use. Though by no means complete, the following is a sampling of this slang:

Marijuana slang

0 - 9

420 – A significant number relating to the entire marijuana culture (see main article). 4:20 is a significant time for marijuana users, as is the day April 20, as it is written 4/20 in some countries. There are several possible reasons for the importance of the number 420:
- The number is derived from the myth that at 4:20pm a group of kids would meet after school to smoke up.
- Many believe it also could have been the police code for marijuana possession (420).
- (1203) Actually 4/20 refers to the day that bob marley died that is why it is celebrated as a holiday to smoke.
- Bob Marley Died on May 11. its not Hitler's birthday or any nonsense like that either, its just a good time to smoke
- The song by Bob Dylan in which the chorus is "Everybody must get stoned" is titled "Rainy Day Woman #12 & 35". It may be just a coincidence, but 12 times 35 is 420. ;)
- The actual reference comes from a story by HP Lovecraft, in which the main character enters a dream world after smoking a mysterious herb. Although the character seems to be in the dream world for an extended amount of time, when he returns to "reality", he discovers that the time is merely "twenty past four."

African Black – Another word for Marijuana

Annie – Social user of marijuana

Alligator – Also called a 'gator or a roach clip, a small apparatus to hold the roach or butt of a joint/blunt to keep fingers safe as the joint shrinks

Answering the Green Phone - Smoking dope.

Ash/Ass – The dry, burnt remains of marijuana OR To knock the end ash off of a joint (marijuana cigarette)

Auto-pipe – An electric pipe.

Apple-Pied – Intoxicated from the use of Marijuana.

Ashed/Assed – A bowl, bong, blunt, or joint that is no longer worth smoking.

Attention – Slang for a ten sack

B

B – Abbreviation of blunt, a hollowed-out cigar stuffed with marijuana

B-Legit; a bay area slang term for a double blunt; two blunt papers stuck together to make an extra long blunt

Bake – To smoke marijuana in a tight space with no air circulation, i.e. a car with the windows up or small room

Baked – Intoxicated from marijuana use

Bammers – low grade marijuana

Based; really really high

Baseball – A game played with 3 or more smokers, where one takes a hit and must hold the hit in until the weed reaches them again in the rotation.

Bat – A small, tubular, often slightly funnel-shaped device used for smoking

Bazooka – A term for a rolled cigarette of tobacco and marijuana.

Bean – A marijuana seed

Beasters – Commercial, sometimes good quality, marijuana thought to have originated in British Columbia (BC)
Benz - £10 bag worth of marijuana.

Beat – A bowl that is finished.

Beast – Considered the lowest quality Dro but at the same time the highest quality Schwag.

Bifta – A big spliff.

Bhang – Derivative of the leaf and flower of a female cannabis plant.

Blankets – Marijuana nuggets

Blanking – To smoke marijuana

Blaze – To smoke marijuana

Blazed – Very intoxicated on marijuana

Bleezy – See Blunt

Blizzatz- When you are at the peak of your high and cannot possibly smoke anymore.

Blottoed – Intoxicated from marijuana use
Blunt – A smoking preparation consisting of hollowed-out cigar or tobacco leaf blunt-wrap filled with marijuana. Often holds more of the drug than a joint and is somewhat disguised as a legal tobacco cigar

Blow- To smoke Marijuana

Blowie – See Zoob

Blown Out- Entirely too high to function any longer.

Blozzed – See blazed.

Bogart – To keep a joint or bowl to oneself while in a smoking circle.

Boge time – The time after blazing where a cigarette is absolutely required

Bong – 1. A pipe in which marijuana smoke is filtered through water at least once. Sometimes large and capable of delivering large amounts of smoke. 2. To fill an enclosed space with marijuana smoke. i.e. car bong

Boo- an underground slang term for marijuana

Boof- To smoke Marijuana

Bowl – 1. The concave, funnel-shaped space in a pipe, bong, or other device where marijuana is packed to be burned. May or may not be attached to smoking device 2. A pipe used to smoke marijuana 3. To smoke marijuana.

Bowl piece – Portion of smoking paraphernalia that is packed with marijuana; this can usually be detached from the rest of the paraphernalia

Bowling – To smoke marijuna. Used in discreet situations. Ex: "You want to go bowling after work? I'm hoping to get a 420!"

Box – Abbreviation of Hot box

Boxed – to be intoxicated from marijuana use

Brick – A large amount of marijuana (usually shaped like a "brick") OR slang for nonpotent, low quality marijuana.

Brainer - see shotgun

Broccoli - Slang Term meaning marijuana popularized by Raekwon from the rap group The Wu-Tang Clan.

Brown frown – aka "Bobby Brown frown," A low grade quality of marijuana, often with a brown tint

BT; Abbreviation of Bong Toke, commonly used when attempting to be discreet.

Bubbler – A small, handheld, water-filtered pipe

Bud – Marijuana OR The flowering stalks of the marijuana plant; it contains the most THC in the plant, and hence the most commonly-smoked portion of the plant

Bud butter – See Cannabutter

Buddha – Marijuana

Bukket - An innovative commercial or home made waterless, portable 'gravity' bong, resembling an accordian. The bukket actually makes no use of gravity.

Bunk- some shitty-ass weed.

Burn – To smoke marijuana.

Buried Treasure – The build up of tar and THC in the air chamber of one's bowl or slide. Hits off of the buried treasure are entitled to the owner of the piece, usually saved for times of pot drought.

Bush - marijuana that is of high THC content and has been grown form soil NOT HYDROPONICS

Buzzing - very energetic high of marijuana.

Bobby Brown - Brown colored & low quality marijuanna.

Bocephus - A "cashed" bowl of tobacco or marijuana. ex) "We need to pack another bowl; this one is bocephus."

Billy Clint - a term coined by the group Outkast to describe marijauna (smoking that billy clint)

Beef - Comment term for a joint

C

Cabbage; Cheap/low quality weed, sometimes trimmings or skiff
Caked; A term used to describe being very stoned.
Cannon Ball; When one takes a full hit off of a blunt, bong, or joint then drinks a liquor of choice and exhales after swallowing the alcohol.
Cashed; When a pipe, bong, bowl or hookah is left with nothing but ash
Cheeseburgers: (to eat). marijuana,(to smoke)
Cherry; a hot, glowing-red burning nugget of marijuana
Cherried; when a bowl of marijuana is still burning after you've taken a hit, it is a polite thing to tell the next person in rotation that the bowl is 'cherried' to let them know that they don't need to relight, see cherry
Chicago; A game played with 3 or more smokers, where one takes a hit and must hold the hit in until the weed reaches them again in the rotation.
Chim; To smoke marijuana
Chief – Describes filling a room or car with marijuana smoke, a.k.a. "Chiefed". Can also mean to puff on a smoking device calmly and lightly.
Chronic; much like dank, often times referred to marijuana thats been grown with hydroponics
Chuff: Smokin Trees
Consult Henry: to smoke marijuana
Contact High: To become high intentionally or unintentionally due to others smoking marijuana in the nearby vicinity.
Corner; to hit half of the bowl leaving some unburnt marijuana for the next person.
Cookies - a slang term for marijuana. Comes in handy when wanting to use text messaging or just be discrete.
Crip; high-grade marijuana; term popular down south in Florida and neighboring states.
Cush: high-grade marijuana: popular term in California.
Cut; A bowl, bong or pipe that is no longer worth smoking.
Clambake; The equivalent term to hotbox or fishbowl originating from Maine
Chebba- Weed
Isim- Weed.

D

Derg/Derget; an amount of weed that clogs the bowl just enough to be able to put a substance over it that would normally fall through. Small LOAD!

Dank – Descriptor of potent marijuana. Considered high grade with a higher amount of THC

Dank nugs; Potent marijuana; short for Nuggets

Devil's Lettuce – Marijuana: 'Smoking the Devil's Lettuce'

Deuce; Two US dollars worth of marijuana

Dimebag or dime sack or dime – Ten US dollars' worth of marijuana

Digi – slang for digital scale

Dirt – Low quality marijuana

Doneski; commonly used term in describing mental and physical status following maximum possible marijuana/alcohol consumption.

Donezo; see doneski

Donkey Dick; Texas term for two blunts fused end to end to make an extra long blunt

Doobie – A marijuana cigarette

Doobie Snacks – A joint or joint(s)

Dope – Marijuana; may be used to refer to many illicit drugs, often opium or heroin.

Doja – Marijuana; (pronounced 'Doh Ja')

Double Dutch; New England slang for two Dutchmasters fused to an extra long blunt.

Dragon's Food - slang term saying the bowl is cashed. Comes from terrible movie "Reign of Fire," in which the dragons eat ash. Hence, dragon's food.

Drigh – Being drunk and high at the same time (pronounced 'dry')

Dro – Slang for hydroponically-grown marijuana (Hydro)

Dub sack(Dub, Dubby) – Twenty dollars worth of marijuana in a plastic bag

Dub-Bub – Slang for double bubbler, a pipe which bubbles the smoke through two separate water chambers. Also tripple bubbler, etc.

Duff; Slang for the stuff at the bottom of the bag. Also called shake.

Dug out – Paraphernalia used to store a "hitter"; synonymous with "hitter box"

Dutchie; Slang for Dutch Master brand of cigar. Pass the dutchie my friend

E

Eighth – An eighth of an ounce of marijuana (3.5 grams)

Elbow – One pound of marijuana (from abbreviation lb.)

Electric Pipe – A pipe with an electric internal fan that provides suction. Also known as an Electric Vacuum Cleaner Pipe.

Elephant – A pound and a half of weed that you smoke all by yourself

Endo – High quality marijuana

Evergreen - Slang term for marijuana popularized by Method Man. Refers to a high grade of marijuana that smells of Christmas trees.

F

Faded – Intoxicated from marijuana

Fatty – A large (fat) joint

Fifteen – A $15 bag of marijuana

Fin; A $5 bag of marijuana

Five sheet - A $5 bud of marijuana

Fish-bowl – The act of filling an enclosed area with marijuana smoke OR The name of such an environment or car with no tint on windows.

Freshies – See Greens

Fruity – Marijuana and cocaine mixed together into a cigarette.

G

G-13 or G13 – A legendary strain of extremely potent marijuana supposedly developed by the US Government. Rumor has it that a single clipping was stolen from a lab in the 1970's, and true descendants of the strain are available today. Sometimes called 'Mr. Nice'

Gage – Marijuana

Ganga or Ganja or Ganj – Marijuana; sometimes refers to marijuana that emits a strong pungent odor

Gator – see Alligator

Geeked – A period during or after a marijuana-smoking session in which a person experiences a hysterical fit of laughter.

Ghost -- To hold a hit of marijuana smoke in your lungs until it has completely disappeared by the time you exhale. Also refers to a partial hit left in the bong because the smoker before you in the rotation could not take it all. Ghosts do not count as your hit.

Glass – Smoking paraphernalia made from glass

Glass screen – A small, often flower-shaped glass bead placed in the mouth of a bowl to act as a screen, preventing marijuana from 'pulling through.' Thought of as a cleaner alternative to metal screens

Go Towards – To get high

Gone or Gonzo; Very high/intoxicated (used in the Bay Area, California, and surrounding area)

Good: potent, high-quality marijuana

Gravity bong – A homemade smoking device that uses the weight of water to decrease air pressure and draw air and smoke through an opening and past burning marijuana, capable of creating large amounts of smoke

Grass – Marijuana

Green – Marijuana

Greenies – Intoxicated by marijuana and alcohol simultaneously

Greens – The first hit off of a freshly-packed bowl, or subsequent hits when green, unburnt material remains

Green Day; A day spent smoking marijuana, a good time had by all!

Green Tea Mints – Used in work enviroments involving tea.

Groove; Marijuana

Groove Stick; A marijuana cigarette

H

Grinder – A round device used for grinding marijuana, consisting of at least two parts rotated against each other, grinding with circles of 'teeth' inside. May include other chambers, such as a trichome filter

Half-Baked – Term referring to when being only partially intoxicated by Marijuana

Hash brownies – see (Pot brownies)

Hashish or hash – The processed trichomes and resin from the flowering stalks of the marijuana plant. Often heated and compressed for durability, stability, and transportation (see article)

Head Stash – Portion of marijuana set aside for personal use rather than distribution

Headies – Very potent marijuana, often cut from a named strain, i.e. Jack Herer, White Widow, Northern Lights, etc.

Hello Neighbor – A tube made from used toilet paper roll then implanted with dryer sheets and/or toilet paper, and then filled with smoke from a user who must avoid detection.

Henry – abbreviation of Henry the Eighth, i.e. 1/8th of an ounce of marijuana

Herb – Marijuana;

Herb grinder – See Grinder

High – Intoxicated from marijuana use; may describe a more 'heady,' cerebral, and "up," intoxication

Hit – A single inhalation of marijuana smoke

Hitter – Smoking paraphernalia which packs only enough marijuana for a small number of "hits" of smoke

Hitter box – Paraphrenalia used to store a hitter; synonymous with "dug out"

Hogleg – A very fat joint or blunt filled with marijuana

Honey Oil; Hash or Marijuana extract, by alcohol cooking or butane extraction

Hot knives; a form of smoking where two hot knives are presses together to burn the marijuana (See spots in NZ)

Hork – To cough up fluid after smoking marijuana; or the fluid that is coughed up.

Hoog – Marijuana;

Hot box – The act of smoking marijuana in a confined area, such as a car, so that the ambient smoke level increases absorption time and intoxication; synonymous with "clam bake" and "to bake out". Can also refer to a joint whose "cherry" or coal has become long enough to interfere with smoking of said joint.

Hydro – Hydroponically-grown marijuana, often assumed to be potent

I

Indica – Short for Cannabis indica, one of three cannabis species. Originating in the tropics, C. indica is a short, thick, bushy plant with wide, dark leaves. Generally, it gives a more stoned, sedated, thoughtful, body high

Indigo – Slang for Indica strains of marijuana.

Indian – A ritual in which a group of users share a marijuana cigarette, each taking a single drag before passing it to the next person (also See Marathon)

Irie – A Rasta and Calypso term for intoxicated. (as in mighty irie eyes!)

J

J or Jay – Slang for Joint

Jamaica - When you take a hit and pass the marijuana and don't exhale until it comes back to you

Jibba – Slang for a hand-rolled marijuana cigarette, commmonly used in the state of Maine

Jiggles – aka Jiggly - synonym for weed, derived from pokemon and Jigglypuff

Joint – A hand-rolled marijuana cigarette

Jefferson Airplane – slang for a used match bent to hold a marijuana cigarette that has been smoked too short to hold without burning the hands. (The customary name for a device used to do this is roach clip)

Johnny Cashed; Term used for when the bowl is done (or "cashed") and props to a legend.

Jump Rope - Alternate Slang For Smoking Weed; Used when authority figures or parents are present.

Jungle box; closing all vents and doors in a bathroom and turning on a hot water shower. Smoke in the humidified room

K

Kaya; Marijuana

KB – Kind bud

Keished- total intoxication from smoking

KGB – Acronym for Killer Green Bud (usually high in quality).

Kicked – the bowl is cashed, see above

Kief or kif – The collected crystals of marijuana resin called trichomes found on the surface of marijuana leaves and buds. The trichomes contain high quantities of THC, and are often crumbled onto a packed bowl. Also may be subsequently processed into hashish (hash).

Kief box – A marijuana storage box specifically designed so the marijuana rests on a fine screen, allowing trichomes to fall through to a lower chamber, often lined with removable plastic or glass, which collects them for kief or hashish.

Killer – A game in which you pass a spliff around a circle each taking a toke and holding it in till it's smoked, best to do it nearer the end of the joint.

Kilt – See Cashed

Kind bud or Kine bud – Potent marijuana, sometimes synonymous with Sensimilla

L

L – Slang for a blunt, from the cigar brand El Presidente

Labrador – Slang for a Fat Joint (From Cult Classic Cheech & Chong Up in Smoke)

Larry King – Slang for a marijuana bowl

LB – One pound of marijuana meant for personal consumption.

Le Tigra – The most intricate spoon for smoking

Leary biscuit – A tasty and easy marijuana preparation consisting of heated cheese and marijuana on a cracker, sometimes with another cracker on top. The fat-soluble THC dissolves into the oil in the cheese

Louis – Abbreviation of Louis the Sixteenth, 1/16th of an ounce of marijuana

Lid; One ounce of marijuana

M

Marathon OR Mexican Sweat – A ritual in which a group of users share a marijuana cigarette, each taking a single drag before passing it to the next person (also known as an Indian)

Mary Jane – Marijuana

Merch or mersh – See Commerch

Method or Meth; marijuana. That is to say, the method to get high. Used in Staten Island, NY.

Middies or mids – A term used loosely to describe average marijuana, such as kind bud that has dried out to the point of losing some of its potency, or good schwag

Milk – The thick, creamy smoke that fills a bong when it is hit to its maximum potential

Mission– the act of looking for marijuana

Moon Cabbage – Marijuana

Movies – Marijuana

Munchies – Strong feelings of hunger that often occur after smoking. Some varieties are more likely to cause this unique side-effect

Mooey - Marijuana

Marinate - the process of smoking marijuana

Mull - a particularly potent strain from the country township of Mullumbimby [[1]] in northern NSW, Australia. The town was home to the Aquarius festival in the 70's and was renowned as a dope-growing region. Less so now, but the nearby town of Nimbin [[2]]remains a cannabis haven.

Murph - to cough in a pipe and blow out the bowl

N

Nick – Five US dollars' worth of marijuana

Nickel – Five US dollars' worth of marijuana

Nug – Marijuana

Nugs/nuggets/ nuglets – Marijuana of generally higher quality; nuggets are broken-off pieces of the buds, usually trimmed into neat "nuggets"

O

O – An ounce of marijuana (28.3 grams)

Onion – Another slang word for an ounce of marijuana

Oscar – Another slang word for an ounce of marijuana

Overtoke – Severe coughing that may occur when marijuana is smoked too heavily. Often followed by a headache.

Oxed – to be intoxicated from marijuana use see boxed

P

Pack – To place marijuana into the bowl of a piece of smoking paraphernalia

Pang- High grade marijuana

Patrick Duffy- Marijuana

Persy– An amount of marijuana kept specifically for yourself

Peta; petardo, (firecracker) a blunt of tobacco and hashish

Peetz – the main slang word for Marijuana in the small country of Luxembourg

Pinner – A small marijuana cigarette

Playing baseball – The act of inhaling marijuana smoke, then blowing the smoke into another's mouth (a "shottie" or "shotgun"); the recipient then blows the remaining smoke into another's mouth, and so on

Pooched; the bowl is done

Porro; joint in spanish

Pot – Marijuana

Pot brownie – A brownie containing marijuana

Pot butter – Butter that has been cooked with marijuana to infuse it with psychoative THC. The key precursor ingredient to many marijuana baked goods

Pot head or pothead – a frequent marijuana user, synonymous with Stoner

Pregnant – Describes a marijuana cigarette that is larger in the center than at either end

Premo – Marijuana with cocaine spinkled onto it

Puff Puff Pass – A biathlon. A group of users share a marijuana cigarette, each taking two drags before passing it to the next person. Also used as a phrase encouraging another user to pass quickly.

Pull A Farley – Passing a pipe but keeping the lighter to light a cigarette, requiring an additional pass

Pull through – When ash or burning marijuana is literally pulled through the bottom of the bowl during a hit; a key advantage of a bong or bubbler is that the water keeps this burnt material from reaching the mouth

Punto Rojo; the spanish name of redpoint, a colombian sativa.

Purple – A joint that emits a purplish smoke, or fog

Purple haze – A famous, potent strain of marijuana made famous by the Jimi Hendrix song of the same name

Purp - Another name for purple haze.

Q

Quarter – A quarter ounce of marijuana (7.1 grams)

QP or quap or Q-per – A quarter pound of marijuana

Quenz – A quarter of an ounce and a benz (£10 worth) of marijuana

R

Raver - Right out of er

Reefer – Marijuana OR a joint

Recess – Taking a break from class to smoke up

Regs – Low grade marijuana; stands for "regular"

Relish - See Broccoli.

Res – (Pronounced 'rez') Slang for Resin

Resin – The sticky residue of a THC-rich trichomes from potent marijuana used to make hash OR The sticky tar residue left on a pipe from smoking marijuana

Resin hit – An inhalation of the smoke from burning resin, the dark tar that accumulates in pipes and bongs through use. May be taken straight from a dirty bowl, or scraped out, collected, and smoked

Rice; Central Virginia slang for marijuana

Rip – A single inhalation of marijuana smoke, usually from a bong

Ripped – Intoxicated from marijuana

Run; When a joint or a blunt burns unevenly
Roach – The butt of a marijuana cigarette

Roach Bone- a joint rolled with the leftover roaches, usually much more potent.

Roach clip – A small object, usually metal, used to hold the butt of a marijuana cigarette such that it can still be smoked without burning the user's fingers

Roachinator – Carb and area for roach melted into a bottle with a lighter.

Roll – To construct a marijuana cigarette

Rollies – Rolling paper

Rollin' – When the bowl, bong, bubbler, etc. is still burning to the extent where the next smoker does not need to light it.

Roor – Arguably the best manufacturer of extremely high quality bongs ranging in price up to $1,800

S

Sach – A Canadian who smokes pot

Sack – A bag of marijuana

Sativa – Short for Cannabis sativa, one of three cannabis species. Originating in Asia, C. sativa is a tall, lanky plant with slender leaves. Generally, it gives a more cerebral, trippy, energetic, head high

Schwag – Nonpotent marijuana

Score – To purchase from a dealer

Scooby Doo – Good marijuana. First heard on Da Ali G Show

Scooby Snack – Weed particles that get caught in the throat when smoking a blunt with a loose ending or the end of the bowl

Sea Level – The level that the THC vapor sits in a room after a long smoking session.

Secret agent – A a joint rolled in an emptied cigarette so as to disguise it

Seiver; marijuana in a plastic box

Session – An extended period of smoking marijuana, generally in a social situation

Sexy Mexi; Low Quality product from Mexico

Shake – Small bits of marijuana plant material that have broken apart during handling

Shotgun – The act of inverting a marijuana cigarette/blunt into one's mouth and blowing marijuana smoke into another's mouth

Sherlock – A type of pipe that is shaped like a classic 'drooping' tobacco pipe. A reference to the pipe of character Sherlock Holmes

Shottie – Abbreviation of shotgun

Sidecar – A marijuana pipe with a bowl piece offset to one side, often a variation of a bubbler

Silly – Variety of marijuana-induced intoxication in which the user finds any and everything hilarious

Skates - slang term for scales

Skater – An eighth of an ounce of weed. (skEIGHTer).

Skunk weed – Potent, aromatic marijuana

Slice – An eighth of an ounce of marijuana

Slide – Portion of a bong used to both pack marijuana into the bowl and to clear the chamber of its smoke

Smitten- Act of extreme coughing after rigorous bong hitting, in which the subject is rendered speechless and extremely high.

Smoke eater – see (Zoob)

Smoke'n a Pancake – smoking a joint

Smunt or Smunty; leftover ash in a used piece.

Snack Pack – sometimes rephrased as 'packing that snack'

Snow Cap – Marijuana with cocaine sprinkled onto it

Space brownies – Brownies with marijuana baked into them

Space cakes – Brownies, cookies, or any other type of baked cake-like good with marijuana baked into them

Spark – To light a marijuana cigarette or piece of paraphernalia, or to smoke marijuana

Spicy -- As in, "There might be a hit left in there, but that shit is spicy."

Spliff – A cone-shaped marijuana cigarette, often contains some tobacco; also a generic term for a marijuana cigarette

Spoof; tube stuffed with dryer sheets used to blow the smoke through to reduce the smell

Spoon – A type of marijuana pipe, usually made from glass; given its name from its shape

Spots – A form of marijuana smoking where small balls of marijuana are pressed between two hot orange knives, and inhaled through a bottomed-off bottle

Stash – One's supply of marijuana

Stash box – A container or compartment used to store marijuana, may be disguised as a common household item

Steamroller – A simple type of pipe that is open at both ends, used by covering one end closest to the bowl during the hit. Named for its resemblance to the cylindrical front wheel of the vehicle, though many pipes are more complex than a simple tube

Stoned – Intoxicated from marijuana use; may refer to a more body-oriented, mellow, and heavy intoxication

Stoner – A frequent user of marijuana OR The name of the general marijuana subculture

Strike Out; When one inhales marijuana, chugs a beer and takes a shot, releasing the smoke last.

Super – Blowing marijuana smoke into another's mouth

Super – A prefix sometimes given to a more potent strain of marijuana, i.e. Super Silver Haze, Super Girl, Super Skunk, etc.

Super Joint – A joint constructed from the roaches of other joints. These are much more potent than regular joints since the roaches are covered in THC from the previous joints. Also see: Turbo Joint

Super Tulip – A rolling paper is shaped into a cone, and marijuana is placed inside, and unlike the regular tulip, there is a joint in place of the hollow tube of paper. The desired end result is a tulip shape.

Smay To Your Dome Piece – slang term for smoking marijuana. smay=smoke, dome piece= head.

Tinny - a bowl constructed of tin foil(aluminum foil)

Twenty - 20 US dollars worth of marijuana. (1-1.5g depending on location and quality)

Tweak - to express that someone is extremely high

Unibrow - a large quantity of weed.

underflab - a storage container for weed.(Most often found in hidden areas on automobiles.)

Transmoglephide - to be extremely intoxicated with high grade marijuana and alcohol. Some users may hallucinate.

Vaporizer – A smoking device which heats the marijuana below the point of combustion to extract the active ingredients as a vapor, delivering the drug in a much healthier form than smoking
Viper – a colloquial term used in the jazz subculture for a marijuana user.

W

Wacky tobaccy – Marijuana

Wake-n-bake – Smoking very soon after waking up, ie. before the morning grogginess has passed

Waterfall bong – A smoking device consisting of a chamber of water with a hole at the bottom and a removable bowl on top. Hole is released, pulling air past the bowl, filling the space with smoke. Easy with a water bottle, but must be refilled.

White Boy - A game played with 3 or more smokers, where one takes a hit and must hold the hit in until the weed reaches them again in the rotation.

Whitey- To suffer a bad reaction to smoking marijuana due to low blood sugar levels.

Woashed; Central Virginia slang for being highly intoxicated on marijuana.

X

Xylophone breath – a term commonly used for the smell of one's breath after smoking large sums of marijuana and or crack cocaine.

Z

Z or zip or zone – An ounce of marijuana, derived from the 'z' in the abbreviation for ounce, 'Oz' and from the sandwich size Ziploc bag which will generally fit one ounce.

Z-Gress – The process of becoming so intoxicated that you cry blood. An urban legend.

Zong – A brand of bong with a Z-shaped crook in the stem, effectively eliminates bong water spray in stout bongs

Zoob or Zube Tube – A device constructed out of some sort of tube (empty plasic bottles, empty paper towel rolls) with both ends open and dryer sheets stuffed in. Smoke is blown through this tube in order to hide the odor from smoking marijuana. The more dryer sheets the more effective. Excellent for dorm rooms and when you're still living with your parents.

Zooted; Completely and utterly too baked to function.
